Pinyu Liao

Pinyu is an undergraduate student studying Biomedical Computation at Stanford. Coming from Kenmore, Washington, Pinyu's research interests began in antibiotic resistance and microbiology, where she formerly worked on computational drug design and characterizing toxin delivery systems. She is the founder of the blog, Lavender + Lab Coats (lavenderandlabcoats.com), a website dedicated to documenting her journey in STEM and research. She is also involved in antibiotic resistance advocacy work, including her work with the Stanford Antimicrobial Stewardship and Sustainability Program and her documentary, "The Quest to Stop Antibiotic Resistance." Outside of the lab, Pinyu enjoys baking, hiking, and attempting crazy crafts and DIYs!
