Jia Woo

Jia is a graduate student in the Department of Biochemistry. He is advised by Florentine Rutaganira (Departments of Biochemistry and Developmental Biology) and co-advised by Carolyn Bertozzi. He is interested in understanding the origin of multicellularity in animals.

Before Stanford, Jia received his B.Sc from Imperial College London and his M.Sc from the University of Heidelberg in Germany. After graduating, he worked with Silvi Rouskin at the Whitehead Institute, MIT, and Harvard Medical School, studying RNA structures.
