Suh Hyun Kang

Suh graduated from ETH Zurich with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry. She then joined Richmond Sarpong’s research group at UC Berkeley, where she worked on the development of Pd-catalyzed C–C bond cleavage/vinylation/Mizoroki-Heck cyclization cascade that enables rapid and non-intuitive construction of various bridged polycycles. This method was subsequently applied to the total synthesis of 14- and 15-hydroxypatchoulols. After earning her Ph.D in 2026, Suh is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Bertozzi Lab at Stanford.
